.What?

The Artists’ Way was created to bring the tools of the performing arts to the “real world” to help create greater cohesion, better communication and a general feeling of goodwill in teams.

Why?

I believe being an artist requires you to constantly evaluate yourself and the human condition. As we go through life focussed on our own goals, we often forget that everyone we interact with is a complex human being with their own dreams and struggles. It’s amazing how seeing someone be vulnerable and open can completely change people’s perspective and allow them to build a greater relationship, personally and professionally. Just as every work of art requires people to come together with belief in each other to create something larger than themselves, so does every team require people to have utmost trust to work towards a shared vision.

To this effect, the tools of an artist can become extremely valuable.

How?

The module combines elements of Method Acting, Improv, Dance and Meditation to create a structured flow. The program is divided into 3 parts-  The warm up, The exercises and The cool down. Each section is carefully designed to allow the participants to gradually open up and eventually come together as a team. The time, flow and setting (in person/virtual) can be tailor made to suit your company’s specific needs.

Testimonials

We did the team bonding session with Rashi Mal online and it was an amazing experience for my team and I. Because of the lock down we were not able to meet and actually connect with each other face-to-face, but Rashi’s session did that for us. It also helped us know each other better, understand that each individual comes with a different set of skills and also their own set of shortcomings. It helped us understand how to still work together as a unit rather than individually trying to point weaknesses or causing disruption between the team. It helped me get acquainted with my team better and I discovered things about them, their past and their families that I didn’t know anything about. Another great thing that came out of the session was the fact that we were all actually listening to one other. There were times when we were asked to just listen and let somebody complete a statement and I feel like that’s a huge aspect of any functional relationship, just to feel heard as well as to be good listener. All in all, I think the session made as a little more empathetic towards each other which has definitely helped us work better as a cohesive unit. I highly recommend doing this session for your team and I am sure it will bring a lot more unity, togetherness and empathy, which according to me are some of the core values needed for any successful business.
